Great opportunity provided by Digital Services for the CSPs:Globally, key digital trends have triggered operators’ transformation toward being digital service providers Digitization continues to recast telecommunications, presenting both risks and opportunities to industry participants. A potentially sizable opportunity for many Telecom players resides in the provision of digitally based support services to traditional, brick-and-mortar-based industries. So, Digital Services present a great opportunity for the CSPs to come on board as not only the bit-pipe provider but as the full-service partner. But are CSPs really prepared? According to a recent studies and survey, CSPs are already playing a key role in enabling Digital Transformation through connectivity products and services. However, CSPs have not fully adapted all the elements of Digital Transformation themselves. Most CSPs use digital technologies extensively, but do not show the same level of sophistication in managing internal digital transformation. While CSPs remain ahead of other industries to launch digital initiatives, they do lag when it comes to integrating and aligning these initiatives across organizational silos. CSPs are following stakeholders and relevant opportunities. For customers:- • Differentiation and loyalty-building through customer experience excellence. • Leverage the M2M space by forging strong partnerships with network management and software platform providers. • The huge digital divide in emerging markets offers immense potential for the next wave of growth. For Organization:- • Operational effectiveness through state-of-the-art processes, technology, partnering and culture shift. • Operational measures, including new suites of KPIs and governance processes For Ecosystem:- • Leverage capabilities to create own OTT monopolies to serve the customer • Become enabler champion for entire ecosystem i.e. for end to end client management CSP needs to focus on the following key digital trends:- 1. OTT-Partnering with OTT players for the new source of revenue 2. Establish BIG Data as a key initiative for revenue growth 3. Seamless Omni-channel experience 4. E-Payments-Invest in digital payments 5. IoT/M2M-Connecting new devices and industries 6. Mobile advertising- 7. Cloud computing
